Alecias Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:
Main:- 4 2/3 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 60 gms butter melted
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 TBsp yeast
- 1 1/2 cups milk lukewarm
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 TBsp cinnamon
- 150 gms butter softened
- 1 1/4 cup icing sugar sifted
- 2 TBsp maple syrup
- 2 TBsp milk
Instructions:
Main:- In a large bowl add flour and salt.
- Stir in sugar and yeast, then make a well in centre and add milk, butter and egg.
- Stir gradually until soft dough forms.
- Remove from bowl and knead on lightly floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Cover dough and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare your Dutch oven by placing a trivet in the base.
- Alternatively line a slow cooker with baking paper.
- Mix filling ingredients until combined, then set aside.
- Roll out dough on lightly floured surface until it is about 20x15cm.
- Spread out filling over dough, then roll it into log shape.
- Cut log evenly into 10 pieces and place in greased cake tin or in slow cooker with the swirl side facing up.
- Cook with lid on slow oven, on high setting for 2 hours.
- If using Dutch oven place cake tin on trivet and place in Dutch oven with lid on, for 2 hours on moderate oven.
- Remove from oven and drizzle the top once partially cooled, combined icing sugar, maple syrup and milk.
