Home Made English Muffins


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain flour (use GF if necessary)
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup room temperature water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, dry yeast, sugar and baking powder
  • Spray oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl mix two waters together and mix in yeast and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl whisk all other dry ingredients.
  3. Make a well in the centre and add the wet ingredients.
  4. Mix until combined and add quarter cup to a medium hot pan that has been sprayed with a light coat of oil.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes and flip over and cook for a further 6 minutes.
  6. Once done cut in half and toast.
  7. Once toasted apply lashings of butter and vegemite or jam.
  8. Eat hot, makes 6, and worth the effort.
