Tuna Pasta


Ingredients:

Main:
  • 500gms pasta (use GF if necessary)
  • 1 large can tuna in water drained
  • 1 bunch parsley chopped
  • 400 gms cheese grated
  • salt and pepper to taste (white pepper)
  • One quantity white sauce
White sauce:
  • 110 gms butter
  • 1/3 cup flour (GF if necessary)
  • 500ml milk
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • Pinch Grated nutmeg

Instructions:

Main:
  1. Cook pasta per packet directions.
  2. While pasta is cooking, chop parsley and set aside.
  3. Drain can of tuna and set aside.
  4. Cook the white sauce.
  5. Once pasta is cooked drain well, then place back in pot.
  6. Stir through parsley and tuna, then stir through white sauce.
  7. Season with white pepper and salt.
  8. Add all ingredients together, except cheese and stir well.
  9. Serve in bowls with good handful of cheese on top.
White sauce:
  1. Melt butter in small saucepan, then add flour stirring until all lumps removed.
  2. Add a small amount of milk (about 1/4-1/3 cup) and stir continuously until it thickens.
  3. Add more milk as before and continue until all the milk is used up.
  4. Add salt and pepper and nutmeg and stir well.
  5. Use immediately.
